So today, to help you discover your true path in life, I am going to walk you through a VERY important item to consider in order to get to where YOU deeply want to be: YOUR PAST LIFE.
To be or not to be; if you believe in it or not
Now, I know there will be a lot of eye rolls at those three words. You may not believe that it really exists, however, a wise man once said, ‘just because you don’t believe in it, doesn’t mean it isn’t true.’ Reincarnation exists, and I’ll show you why and how.
Many people believe that the soul or spirit is our body; a single, perpetual ball of energy that is always moving and spinning. This energy (some people call it ‘personality’) lives within us as you travel through this world, gaining knowledge and understanding to help you on your way to eventually connecting with the universal light (enlightenment) or higher self. These souls live from one terrestrial body to another in different lives, in different countries and cultures. They experience specific events and people in their lives from which they must learn lessons.
Often, we experience a ‘knowing’ when visiting a place, feeling a strong connection to a period in time, history or culture. It is by taking a closer look at these drawing interests in our lives that we connect to our past life. There is not a religion or faith on the planet that does not believe in spirit. The ancient teachings of the Egyptians taught us that our spiritual path was just as important, if not more, than our earthly life.
There have been many great stories over the years of children finding strong past life connections. Many have been willing to go back to show the world evidence that reincarnation exists. One famous story was that of Barbro Karlen, the woman who gave extraordinary proof that she had been Anne Frank; the famous diarist girl who lived and died a persecuted Jew along with her family during World War II, and died along with her sister in a concentration camp.
Visiting the museum as a child of the Anne Frank family hideout, she correctly described the pictures that had been hung on the walls, the names of the people who lived there, what life had been like for the Jewish family in hiding in one detail so incredible, that there was no way this child could have known any of this information. As an adult, Barbro bears a striking resemblance to the late Anne Frank.
Interesting ourselves in the things that call us; the places, the people, the time in history, we can learn about why we are here. This is a good place to start to discover your life’s true purpose.
What is the difference between a life goal and a life purpose?
The answer is fundamentally spiritual. The goal of your life is the goal that you see yourself achieving or not achieving. It is the idea that we create in our mind that comes from our paradigms of what we expect in our lives and what we want. These are conscious thoughts that are translated or not, as is most often the case, into subconscious thoughts, thus becoming actions.
A life purpose goes beyond that. If we see ourselves as two beings; one in this life, this body that lives now, and the other, our soul, an entity that travels through time and space and finally reaches enlightenment and the higher self. The purpose of our life is the purpose of our soul. The origins of this purpose run consistently through our past, present, and future lives. They are the goals we are given to learn and master throughout our journey. For example; Your life goal may be to be a high performing sales representative, however your life purpose is to give more to others than yourself. The purpose of life is always on a deeper level. This is achieving this purpose that we found, what Abraham Maslow described as ‘self-actualization’. It is the highest point at which we find ourselves from the physical to the ethereal; the divine.
Know the purpose of your life and how to find it.
We understand a little more about our journey through this cosmos. We realize that we are not here just for the life we know now, but for several, even multiple lives. Each one teaches us a little more about the deeper lessons a soul can learn.
There is much more to “what’s out there” than we realize. We search until we think we can’t find answers, however, if we stop and think about how much we have searched, we will soon realize that we have only searched 2%. This life has no answers for us. Not in itself alone. We need to go deeper than that, and how to do it? Through meditation and conscious thought.
The secret here is to train the subconscious mind to do what we ask. Someone once said that the subconscious is simply the
mischievous monkey that sits inside you, easily bored and gives you a lot of trouble most of the time.
It’s the part of you that throws things at you at inopportune times. You could be driving down a highway, minding your own business, and suddenly your subconscious monkey throws into the forefront of your mind a fight you had with your father when you were six years old that you’ve never faced. However, despite this mischievous animal in you, your subconscious holds the key to all your desires. It’s like putting a little kid in charge of a Ferrari. There is significant power and authority in his little hand, but he doesn’t have the maturity or the will to do anything with it.
Train your subconscious to focus on what you really want and you will find your purpose, but it won’t happen overnight. Eventually, after a while, you’ll be able to focus and let your life just happen, because it will.
But that is for another post for another day.
In the meantime, make a deal with yourself that you will change your life from now on. Then check back for the next post in a couple of days…
Then the work will really begin…
