Let’s face it, we live in a society that loves to eat unhealthy. We have our daily trips to the local fast food restaurants, we eat donuts for breakfast, chocolate bars for a quick energy boost. Heck, even our “healthy” food is often overly processed and stripped of nutrition.
We are a junk food addicted society that loves everything fast. We don’t just want to lose weight fast, we want to lose weight fast while continuing our addictions to junk food.
Research has shown time and time again that the only way to lose weight is to consume calories versus burn calories. An additional 3,500 calories are needed to gain one pound. And those calories can come from anywhere, although it’s much easier to stuff 3,500 calories of cakes, cookies, and fried foods into your mouth than fruits and vegetables.
So can you lose weight fast and eat junk food?
This may surprise you, but the answer is YES, you can. But do you really want to?
Sure you could lose weight fast eating 1200 calories worth of chips, candy, cookies, maybe even burgers, fries and a soda. It might work if your only goal is to lose weight.
If your real goal is not just to be slim, but also to be healthy, look better, feel better, and have more energy than simply cutting calories, it’s not going to be the answer you need.
Like I said, it can be done. As I was entering adulthood, I decided that I was tired of being thick and ready to lose weight, and I wanted to lose weight FAST. So I just restricted my calories. I drank Pepsi, ate chips and candy, but never really felt good. I had low energy and was in a bad mood, easily depressed.
It wasn’t until I started collecting information on how to eat and exercise and then started practicing what I was learning that I realized what a big difference it made. I felt GREAT. I was happy, full of energy, my skin was clear and I was very proud of myself. Eventually I even became a strength coach and a model.
My suggestion to you is that if you absolutely must have a certain junk food (maybe ice cream, candy or soda) buy the mini pack and save the “gift” until the end of the day. You will feel better and you will continue to lose weight quickly.
Research shows that when you start your day eating unhealthily, you’re more likely to continue making “bad” food choices throughout the day.
I also find that working out, even a quick one, at the beginning of the day gives me a great boost for the rest of the day!
