What if I told you there are no coincidences? Would you argue with me? I believe in the power of greater awareness, of positive intention, of thoughts turning into actions. What is our role in each of these? How can we manifest a fortuitous coincidence in all the positive areas of our life?
There are no coincidences in life. Just moments of awareness.
Think about it. You have a conversation with a friend about how a song reminds you of someone and suddenly that song plays everywhere. You like a new model of car that has just come out. Now you see it everywhere. Your awareness of a particular object has increased and your attention is focused on it. Therefore, you notice that it appears all the time. Think about how many things happen to you every day, what would happen if you put your attention on them?
Kind of makes you wonder what the power of attention can do. If the “coincidences” in our lives occurred in the areas of abundance, love, and prosperity, would we all be happier? Where are you focusing your attention?
Inner balance = outer awareness.
It is a simple equation. When you are at peace with yourself, you notice more and have the ability to absorb more outside of yourself. Take a close look at the fibers that weave together all these serendipitous events. Think about your role in them. Had he verbalized or mentally focused certain intentions? The Universe is not conspiring for or against you without your permission. Your thoughts and your emotions are driving your moments of opportunity. Your job is to pay attention.
Your life reflects much of what is going on around you and the balance you have created. Sometimes our signals are much safer than others. You can see them? When we are calm and happy with our place in life (which is certainly not 100 percent of the time), we notice these little signs much more easily. When was the last time you experienced a coincidence? Now, how would you rate the balance of your life?
Reading between the lines.
By being attuned to the little signs of life, it is actually quite easy to determine if you are going in the right direction or at a dead end. I will give you an example. Twice I have been interested in different condos in my area. And twice the day before I was supposed to make an offer or go see them, something happened and they took them off the market. Reading between the lines, my intuition tells me that the time is not right, or that those were not the right places. Pay attention to how you feel when coincidences occur. Do you have a knot in the pit of your stomach or do you feel peaceful acceptance?
Every time you experience one of life’s coincidences, think about how you manifested it. Did you recently have a conversation about it, an emotion, or a strong thought? Probably. You can choose to move on, with that coincidence taking you on a wave of positive energy, or you can choose to go backwards based on the emotional charge that the coincidence provides. However, in the end, your heightened awareness is what caught your eye, so it’s up to you what you do with it.
AHA! Moments
Coincidence, serendipity, destiny … all these words imply an act of mischievous connection. Chance. While I secretly love indulging in such ideas, I am actually much more passionate about the moments in life when my clients confidently announce what they really want to happen. Then in our next session I announced in amazement, “You will never guess what happened!” Of course, I heard the passion and depth with which they proclaimed what they wanted, so I just smile and ask, “what happened? Fill me up …”.
When you can verbally commit to what you want in life, you demand action from yourself and from the Universe. I call this – Passionate Proclamations!
Step 1: Be very clear about what you want.
Step 2: Proclaim that wish with unceasing passion!
Step 3: Do your part to make this happen.
Step 4: Watch for the Universe’s response in coincidences.
“Be careful what you wish for” is a common phrase. What we think about the most – happens. So let’s play a little mind game here because thoughts can be misleading. Where is your focus right now? Let’s say you are worried about losing your job. You keep thinking and verbalizing that you are worried about losing your job. This seems like a good thing, right? Who wants to lose their job? However, in reality, what you’re focusing on the most is losing your job! If, instead, you focus on what you want in an ideal job, the “coincidence” would make life offer it to you, in the form of a new job or your current job.
We often forget that when you keep your thoughts away from what you don’t want and instead keep your emotions and intentions in the areas you do want: you create powerful change within your own life. You create your reality. Have fun with the crazy coincidences and go ahead and have a little laugh to yourself at the irony behind your thoughts turning into tangible responses. You’ve worked hard to get it!
