The tips listed here are for people who travel frequently and stay in hotels, motels, rented apartments, and hostels.
Always call the hotel in advance to reserve the room. Avoid entry. At some point, the hotel is fully occupied and you may be desperate to find a room for you. Most hotels have a special vacant room reserved for “special guests,” which are ghosts or wandering spirits. At that time, the hotel may allow you to check into that special room due to your desperate request. Don’t check into that special room. Check-in at other hotels.
Before entering the room, always knock on the door to respect “special guests” even if it is understood that the room is free. At some point, “special guests” may be inside the vacant room.
After entering the room, and if you or accompanying family members feel unusually cold or smell something stinky similar to a decomposing rat; leave the room immediately. Do not proceed to find out the problems. Note that the air conditioning system was turned off by the central air conditioning thermostat or remote control. If possible, check out at this hotel and check in at another hotel or change rooms.
Before check-in, always request a room that is close to human traffic, such as the elevator lobby, etc. Do not check into a room at the end of a corridor. This is because the last room has a lower occupancy rate, which is very “yin”.
After entering the room, turn on the lights and open the window shades to let in the sunlight. Sunlight is “yang” energy.
When you go to bed, always turn on a light. You choose which light you prefer to turn on. Example: bathroom light, night light or entrance light, etc. This is to supply “yang” energy in the room at night.
Before going to bed, always turn one shoe inside out (either right or left). This is to form “yin-yang”, a balanced energy in the room so that you can sleep without disturbance.
If you stay only in a room with two single beds, always put something like your luggage or clothes on the other bed before sleeping.
After entering the room and seeing an open bible or Islamic or other religious book on the desk, do not touch or close the bible, leave the room immediately. Request to change the room or check-in to another hotel. This is because there are ghosts or evil spirits creating trouble in the room for previous guests.
One last piece of advice, take a Feng-Shui compass with you. It has some benefits for you apart from being used for Feng-Shui audits. Hold the compass in your hands and go into the room. If the compass needle fluctuates wildly as you move around the room, this indicates that there are ghosts or wandering spirits in the room. The room is very “yin” and does not have a constant magnitude of magnetic fields. Do not disturb the ghosts and leave the room immediately. You can also carry some talisman or religious objects with you to protect yourself from harm.
