If you are looking for a book to read, I suggest guardian by Angela knight?
5 reasons to choose this:
1. If you like paranormals.
2. If you’ve never read a paranormal book and wondering what all the fuss is about. (Ms. Knight is a good storyteller regardless of the subgenre.)
3. If you like books with time travel elements.
4. If you like to read a book that is part of a series.
5. If you enjoy strong dialogue along with action and interesting mythology.
Quick Synopsis:
In Guardian we meet Riane Arvid, a genetically modified human and a temporary Enforcer, in other words, she is a member of the time travel police. After her time travel fails due to sabotage, she finds herself stranded in 2009. Enter 21st Century Nick Wyatt. Orphaned at a young age, he has been fighting and protecting himself from the Xeran (the villains of this series, or as the cover blurb says “killer fanatics”) for most of his life. With both their lives threatened by the Xeran, they must learn to trust each other if they are to survive. A time-tested plot, and this one is well done.
Things I loved about this book:
1. I loved the unique way time travel is used to create tension and urgency. In the future, time travel is an integral part of daily life; And if you want to take the family on vacation to, say, Regency England, then book your ticket in advance. With time travel come the dangers of criminals going back in time in search of monetary gain or evil deeds. To avoid this, Temporal Enforcers make time travel safe for everyone. They also make sure that no one goes back to the past to ruin the present or the future. How cool is that? Imagine someone going back in time and making a killing in the stock market (a story in the first book, Warrior) or even going back and meeting Bernie Madoff before he became the Wall St. guru and making sure that the only money he had ever touched was the change he gave him after he ordered his Big Mac. Or meet Picasso before he was “Picasso” and have a portrait painted. The possibilities are endless and they fueled my imagination beyond reading the book. Nice.
2. Which brings me to the second reason I loved this book: It fueled my imagination beyond just reading the book. I love the thoughts Miss Knight’s world sparked. She sparked my imagination.
3. There is a lot of exciting and well-written action.
4. The dialogue is peppered with wit.
5. Characters have chemistry.
6. It was fun to read.
So if you are looking for an action packed, time travel, paranormal romance, could you please suggest Angela Knight’s Guardian?
