Spring break is a time when many college students from the north head south looking to unwind in a hot, sun-drenched destination. There are many popular places for a warm and sunny spring break. Some hotspots include Daytona Beach, Montego Bay, the Bahamas, Cancun, and Mazatlan to name a few. However, the king of all spring break getaways remains the ever-popular Mexico. In this article, the top three spring break spots in Mexico will be outlined to help you choose the one that’s best suited for your next spring adventure.
When many people hear the word Cancun, they picture many sexy young college students partying and drinking dirty margaritas and icy Coronas. Cancun has long been considered the best place for a wild and crazy SB experience. Some unique Cancun offerings include a 15-mile coastal sandbar of beautiful white-sand beaches, a host of top-notch hotels right on the beach, and the most exotic clubs around. Plus, Cancun is home to the ever-popular Oasis. The Oasis is home to the official home of MTV Spring Break, has a quarter-mile-long pool, and multiple wacky swim-up bars. Oasis has also been a prime location for Maxim, among other major brands. Another benefit of visiting Cancun is its location, just hop on a plane, arrive in Cancun and you are ready to party.
In position two for the main Mexican destinations of SB is Acapulco. Acapulco is known as the Mexican city that never sleeps! Some highly sought after attractions include the world famous nightlife and cliff divers. Divers are an incomparable place. This attraction features intrepid divers jumping off a 130-foot ledge into a cove only 12 feet deep. Plus, the nightlife in Acapulco puts many other spring break spots to shame. Acapulco’s clubs have also hosted a variety of renowned artists such as Fat Joe, Flo Rida, and DJ Skribble, just to name a few.
Last but not least is Mazatlán. Located along the Pacific coast, it offers the longest stretch of continuous beaches in all of Mexico. Mazatlán is known to offer as much entertainment as other spring break destinations for almost half the cost. One of the best-known hotspots in Mazatlán is the Coliseo Discoteca, it is the largest discotheque and is round like a coliseum. Mazatlán also adds a bit more spice to its landscape compared to its competitors’ locations by boasting a jungle setting with panoramic sunset views.
Mexico has many options to offer an unforgettable SB experience, it is only up to you to decide where you want to go. One thing is for sure though…if you’re going to Mexico for spring break, you won’t be disappointed!
