Do you feel tired most of the time and have you lost your zest for life? Have you gained weight and your muscles are getting flaccid? Have you lost your strength? Is your mood flat? Have you lost your interest in sex, or is it just hard work to have sex these days? Is your energy and vitality nothing like what it used to be, or do you feel like a mere shadow of your former self?
If you’ve been nodding to most of the questions above and you’re over the age of 40, then there’s a very good chance that you have a medical condition called low testosterone.
This condition is becoming more common in men (and to a lesser extent in women) in our society due to a number of factors, however the good news is that it can be easily and safely treated.
If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, or lung disease and are over the age of 40, your chances of having low testosterone are 1 in 3.
Hormone therapy using natural testosterone therapy will help you feel and look much better, dramatically increase your desire and ability to have much more dynamic sex, and is therefore a very effective form of natural hormone therapy.
Bioidentical hormone therapy with natural testosterone will also increase muscle size, reduce body fat, improve your mood, boost your heart function, help you feel full of energy and vitality, and most importantly, can give you a feeling of youthful exuberance once again.
After all, who doesn’t want to feel young, sexual, muscular and full of energy again?
Testosterone therapy can restore your sagging testosterone levels to a much more youthful state and is capable of doing all of the above and more safely.
Women have used estrogen therapy or estrogen replacement therapy for many years, and more recently progesterone replacement therapy has also been shown to be very effective for women. Estrogen hormone therapy is much safer and more effective when natural or bioidentical hormones are used, and the same is true for men considering male hormone replacement.
Hormone replacement therapy for both men and women is a key component in a complete antiaging program.

Dr. Jonathan V. Wright, MD (Co-author of “Maximize your vitality and potency – For men over 40 years old”) write the following about natural testosterone:
“For more than 30 years, I have worked with men ages 45 and older whose symptoms and tests indicated the need for bioidentical testosterone. The results have been gratifying for all involved. Most notably, bioidentical testosterone therapy helps improve mood, attitude, cognitive ability and general vision of life.
In addition, bioidentical testosterone improves muscle mass and strength, rebuilds bones, strengthens the heart and blood vessels, lowers total cholesterol and blood sugar, increases HDL (“good”) cholesterol, lowers blood pressure , it reduces the chances of blood clots, it improves tissue oxygenation, it improves the health of a non-cancerous prostate gland, and that’s all before we get to the positive effects of testosterone on libido and your sex life.”
How to test for low testosterone
Before you can determine if you are a candidate for testosterone-based male hormone therapy, you must have your testosterone levels accurately monitored. Since testosterone is a fat-soluble hormone, it travels in the blood bound to a carrier protein, rendering it inactive.
Standard blood tests will not reveal free or active levels of this hormone, so saliva tests for hormones are required. In addition to testosterone tests, it is also important to monitor estrogen levels, since in many men a large amount of testosterone is converted to estrogen. This is not what you want, as estrogen is responsible for fat gain, prostate problems, low libido, and other unwanted effects.
It’s also important to know how to interpret test results, even if your testosterone is in the “normal” range, what does that mean? Do you want to be in the normal range for a 70 year old man? Not precisely. The goal of testosterone therapy is to increase your testosterone levels to those of a healthy 30-year-old man.
testosterone therapy
Male hormone replacement therapy physicians using natural testosterone correctly will be able to quickly and safely restore normal health and function to men who are testosterone deficient. However, the key word here is “correctly”. There are many types of testosterone available and knowing which one to use and how is crucial to your success with testosterone therapy.
How do you know if you should use testosterone cream or testosterone injections? What forms of testosterone are natural and are they exactly the same as those produced by your body? What are the important precautions you should take before starting testosterone therapy? What are the possible side effects to be aware of after starting therapy? How long should you take testosterone therapy?
