Are you struggling to create a digital product? You do not have to do it. Creating a high-quality information product is not that hard to do.
Let’s go through the steps of creating the product and get it created.
1. Find a niche.
You can find a niche that you are interested in or already have a skill in. Then answer the question, “Are people spending money in this niche?”
Look to see if there are products for sale in this niche. Are there books on Amazon, Dummies, magazines? Is training available? If yes, then people are willing to spend money in this niche.
You’ll still need to do your research to find a solid product idea that people will actually buy.
2. Find an urgent problem to solve.
You can’t create a product and expect people to buy it. You should look for a problem that people in your niche are having. And they must be willing to pay for the solution.
Now there are some pressing problems that people have but are not willing to pay for the solution. For example: How to unclog a toilet is a pressing problem. But most people won’t buy a video course or e-book on the subject. They need the answer now and will go online and get their information for free.
You can find problems that people are desperate to solve by going to the forums. You should also buy some of the courses and books in your niche. Then go through them and find out what is missing, what they have left out that you can teach.
3. Find the solution to the problem.
You are solving a problem here. A problem a solution. You need to become an expert in your field. Investigate the solution.
Now, if you’re not an expert, don’t let that stop you. You just have to know more than the people you’re selling the product to. You can be an intermediate and sell to beginners.
You don’t have to know everything, but the more you know, the easier it will be to create a product and future products.
4. Write it down.
Determine how you are going to package your product. Will you make an ebook, a video course, or an audio course?
Here is a formula to create an outline for your digital product.
Of the books and courses you bought and studied, write down the important points. Use at least 5 to 10 as main topics. Now write 5-10 subtopics for each main point. (Don’t panic here, remember that you have studied books and courses on this very topic). Now add some points for each subtopic.
Write a paragraph on each of the bullet points and subtopics.
If you don’t want to write, the easiest way to get a digital product is to record an audio. Use the outline you just created to talk for 20 minutes about your topic, and then sell the audio recording.
To get past the sticking point of getting started, you can start with PLR (Private Label Rights). Then you rewrite it in your own words. And of course you can always outsource it.
5. Repeat the process.
When you create your second digital product, you can offer it as an “up sale” to your first product. Believe it or not, after the first one, it becomes easier and easier to create products.
Now take your ebook and turn it into a video course. You can charge more money for a video course.
That is all. You have your first digital product made.
Many people think of all the excuses why they can’t create their own products. You have no excuses. You have the formula.
