Design Completes the Porsche Carbon Edition
Russian tuning house TopCar Design has been working on a Porshe full carbon fiber body kits 992 Stinger GTR Limited Carbon Edition, and it’s now completed the first example. It’s not cheap, with 84 carbon-fiber parts over four layers. But the car is so good-looking that it’s probably worth every penny.
This one-of-13 coupe wears a stain that makes it look like a mahogany brown, but the company says it can be done in any shade the customer wants. Options include titanium exhaust with Inconel components and forged RS Edition wheels, both of which will add to the cost. A fully loaded interior is available too, with more carbon fiber and lots of expensive leather.
If you want to buy this car, you’ll have to pony up over $100,000. That’s just for the carbon-fiber conversion, which includes new fender vents, a rear spoiler lip, side skirts, diffuser, and wings. TopCar says the body is bonded with an advanced epoxy resin that’s designed to resist damage and reduce dings and scratches.
TopCar also lowered the roof by 20 mm and fitted it with new black carbon trim. There’s a matching steering wheel and center console cover to make the inside of this cabriolet look as cool as it is fast. A carbon-fiber wing mounted to the trunk lid improves downforce, and a bespoke exhaust by Kline Innovation uses titanium and Inconel to give the 992 Stinger GTR a unique sound and performance.
The most important feature on this Porsche, however, is under the hood. It’s still a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat six that produces 650 horsepower and rips its way to a 207-mph top speed. It can destroy all kinds of exotics on a racetrack and still have enough power to keep up with a Rolls-Royce Ghost.
