If you’ve ever used the internet to find herbal or natural remedies for certain medical conditions, you’ll notice how silly some of them sound. One of the craziest things I’ve heard was treating a yeast infection with garlic, but for the most part, the research I discovered seemed to lean in the direction of this mental approach.
It seems that there are many ways that you can use when treating a yeast infection with garlic. Of course, you can follow the usual method and incorporate more garlic into your diet in the form of garlic bread, adding garlic to pasta dishes, lasagna, bolognese, etc. However, this has its drawbacks. You will stink! It’s not a good thing if you ever plan on getting kissed again. The good news is that you can visit any health food store and buy garlic capsules. These are tablets that you can take and work the same way as adding extra garlic to your diet, but without the added worry of bad odor. Garlic is good for many things within the human body, so you can’t help but try these capsules.
There is another method you can use to treat a yeast infection with garlic, although this one sounds a bit strange. Basically, you wrap a clove of garlic in clean old gauze or socks and stick it inside your vagina or general area of the yeast infection, preferably overnight. There are a lot of things to worry about here – firstly you need to make sure the gauze or stockings are clean and suitable for placing on the most sensitive spots, secondary to this you need to be able to get the garlic back on, so you need to attach some kind of rope. Finally, there’s that smell again!
So from my research it would appear that treating yeast infections with garlic is a very popular method and has worked for many women. However, and I know I keep repeating myself, what about the smell?
